Justina's Kitchen is built to help you cook with confidence. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address. If you sign in via Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. During onboarding we collect your cooking confidence level, dietary preferences, household size and weekly budget. As you use the app we store your cooking progress, recipes cooked, star ratings, meal plans, shopping lists and any photos you upload to the community gallery. If you submit feedback through the app we store the message and type. If you opt in to marketing communications at signup, we store your consent along with the date it was given.
How we use it
We use your information solely to personalise your experience — showing you the right recipes for your skill level, dietary needs and budget. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers or use it for any purpose other than making Justina's Kitchen work better for you. If you opted in, we may send occasional updates about the app by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
AI features
Justina's Kitchen includes AI-powered features — Ask Justina (a cooking assistant) and Fridge Scan (recipe matching from your ingredients). When you use these features, your query and relevant recipe context are sent to a third-party AI service to generate a response. We do not store your AI queries beyond what is needed to generate the response. No personally identifiable information is included in AI requests.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted data infrastructure provider based in the EU. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Community photos are stored in Supabase Storage.
Your rights
You can update your preferences at any time from your profile. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app via Settings. If you are based in the UK or EU you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data under UK GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ken@kaziori.com
